Ethiopian PM, Kazir to bag UniAbuja honorary degrees

የናይጄሪያው አቡጃ ዩኒቨርሲቲ አስተዳደር ለጠቅላይ ሚነስትር ዐቢይ አህመድ የክብር ዶክተሬት ለመስጠት መወሰኑን አስታውቋል። የዩኒቨርሲቲው ምክትል ፕሬዝዳንት ፕሮፌሰር ረሺድ ናአላህ እንደገለፁት፣ ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር ዐቢይ ለሽልማቱ የታጩት በአገራቸው እና በኤርትራ ለተፈጠረው ሰላም ላበረከቱት የላቀ አስተዋጽኦ ነው ከጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር ዐቢይ በተጨማሪ የቀድሞው የአገሪቱ የጦር ሚኒስትር ጄነራል አልዋሊ ካዚር በዘርፉ ባበረከቱት ጉልህ አስተዋጽኦ ለሽልማት መታጨታቸው ታውቋል።

The management of the University of Abuja will today award honorary degrees to the Ethiopian Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed Ali, a former Chief of Army Staff, retired Major General Alwali Kazir and singer Ibrahim Narambada for distinguishing themselves in their respective fields and contributing to peace and progress of their countries.
The Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Abdul- Rasheed Na’Allah, disclosed this yesterday in Abuja ahead of the university’s 24th convocation ceremony slated for today.

He said the award would be conferred on the Ethiopean leader for helping to bring peace between his country and Eritrea, among other things. It said Gen. Kazir is being honoured for his exemplary leadership as well as accommodating people in crisis, while Narambada’s songs speak value and serve as example to the youth.
