PM Abiy Ahmed has visited Tana Lake in northern Ethiopia this morning to assess the damage that is caused by a highly invasive weed known as water hyacinth.
During the visit to Tana, Ethiopia’s largest lake, the Prime Minister told local farmers who gathered to receive him: “We will destroy the water hyacinth.”
