PM Aby Ahmed and opposition leader Andargachew Tsige meet


Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has held a meeting with Andargachew Tsige, who was released from jail after he was abducted from an airplane at Sana’a Airport in Yemen four years ago.

The meeting took place today at the Prime Minister’s office at the Menelik Palace in Addis Ababa.

Ato Andargachew, secretary general of the opposition Ginbot 7, told BBC after the meeting that he is encouraged by the changes that are taking place in Ethiopia and praised the Prime Minister for undertaking political reform in the country.

Details of what the two leaders have talked about have not been made public yet.
