Zambian Observer has published a sensational report about how former Ethiopian president Mengistu Hailemariam worked behind the scene to help depose Zimbabwe’s 94-year-old president Robert Mugabe in order to save the country from a catastrophic rebellion. - According to a former minister in Mugabe’s yesteryear cabinet who held a security portfolio, Mengistu is being rewarded for his genius in giving Vice President Chiwenga helping advise, for his crossover from the barracks into the presidium.
- Mengistu, who served as Mugabe’s security adviser, warned the former president that swelling slum and backyard population in Zimbabwe was creating a fertile ground for mass revolts.
