Journalist Eskinder Nega, who has been arrested by the regime in Ethiopia since 2011 for writing critical articles, has arrived in the Netherlands to participate in Amnesty International’s 50th anniversary as a guest of honor. On Thursday this week, his passport was confiscated he was briefly detained at Bole Airport as he was about to board a plane before he was finally allowed to depart.
Eskinder was received with a warm welcome when he arrived at Schipol Airport in the Netherlands’ capital Amsterday today. Videos ↓
