Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed continued his national tour today in areas where anti-government uprisings have been witnessed for the past several years.
The Prime Minister arrived in the city of Gondar, northern Ethiopia, a state that, along with Oromia, was the center of civilian uprisings against government corruption, injustice and discrimination.
After being received at the airport by Gedu Andargachew and other senior officials, Prime Minister Abiy gave a speech at the Gondar Stadium, and held a meeting with a delegation representing Wolqayt. He has reportedly apologized to the delegation for a recent misstatement regarding the forced annexation of Wolqayt land by the Tigray region.
