Journalist Eskinder Nega held a press conference to announce plans to establish a TV station in Ethiopia. The new media company is named Senai Multimedia and is privately owned by Eskinder Nega and colleagues. The press conference finally happened after two interruptions that have sparked press freedom debates in the country. During the press conference, Eskinder also discussed several issues including the current situation in Ethiopia concerning press freedom and possible remedies for the alarming situations despite the reforms in Ethiopia.
