The Somali and Oromo people-to-people conference has begun today in Adama, capital of Oromia regional state. A delegation team consisting of the senior leadership of the Somali regional states, clan leaders and leaders of the Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF) led by Deputy President Mustapha Mohammed received a warm welcome as they arrive to attend the conference. The meeting between Somali and Oromia delegation groups aims to restore and foster between people of the two regional states and create grounds for the reintegration of community members who were displaced from both regional states due to conflicts. More than 2,000 participants from both regions attended the conference.
