Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed came into power on April 2, 2018. After his appointment, he took on a nationwide reform that shook the previous system in Ethiopia. He lifted previous bans on press and individuals freedom. Many spectators feared the consequences of the sudden air of freedom in the nation with much resentments. Considering the current wave of ethnic extremism and hate speech, the fear can be defined as a rational prediction of a likely outcome.
