Ethiopian parliament assembled for it 34th session today. During the assembly, PM Abiy Ahmed administration presented nominees for different positions of minister ranks. After deliberation, the House approved the appointment of Gedu Andargachew (former president of Amhara) as Foreign Minister, Lemma Megersa (former president of Oromia) as Defense Minister and Aysha Mohammed (former Defense Minister) as Urban Development and Construction Minister. The appointment came as a shock since the newly appointed ministers have served their previous post for only six months. The newly appointed ministers have sworn-in before the parliament with Meaza Ashenafi, Chief of Justice, presiding.
