Eskinder Nega, a human rights activist and journalist, is one of the many co-ordinating Addis Ababa Custodian Council. Along with his colleagues, he organized a public forum to discuss issues concerning the city to find a better solution. However, the council’s movement received attacks from many parties including PM Abiy Ahmed. Many attendees were arrested leaving the meeting under the premise of public disturbance. The movements are going forward with some room for improvements. Addis Dimts host Abebe Belew invited Girma Kassa to discuss where Eskinder and his colleagues missed a step.
