Oromia government began demolishing houses on the outskirts of Addis Ababa the administration deemed illegal. The execution, embellished in the sense of upholding rule of law has become questionable. The administration strategic act displaced thousands of legal residents. One of the earliest violent demolishments began in the town of Sebeta four months ago resulting in 3000 residents displaced. Even though the government assured the families for better living conditions, the residents reported to DW that they are still staying at a church’s compound, and the government has put their cry for help in the back burner amidst preaching unity.
