Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed is on a visit to Qatar where he hopes to attract investment from the country.
PM Abiy, who arrived in Qatar on Tuesday, will meet his Qatari counterpart Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani to strengthen the bilateral relations between both countries.
Ethiopian officials are hopeful that the visit will spur direct investment from Qatar into several sectors of the economy like agriculture, healthcare, manufacturing, and construction.
Earlier this year, the Ethiopian embassy in Doha organized an investment forum for trade and economic cooperation between both countries. There are talks that another Ethiopian-Qatari business forum is scheduled to be organized soon. […] CONTINUE READING
