Ethiopian Satellite Television and Radio (ESAT) has been a leading influential media to bring about today’s political change. ESAT has been mainly broadcasting from Washington DC. Following the political reform, ESAT opened its station in Addis Ababa and has spread its program ranges and broadcasting in different languages. Despite the many challenges media in Ethiopia face, the station is progressing at an excellent pace. Mereja TV sat down with the fearless woman leading ESAT to a new chapter, Engineer Saba Ataro.
