Investigators looking at the flight data recorder of the Ethiopian Airlines plane that crashed recently have found ”clear similarities” with another plane crash involving the same Boeing aircraft model.
According to preliminary information, there are similarities between the crash in Ethiopia and the one involving a Lion Air plane in Indonesia October last year. Both fatal accidents involved Boeing’s 737 Max 8 jetliners.
Ethiopia’s Minister of Transport said Dagmawit Moges said the flights data recorder is in good condition and this enabled investigators to extract information. However, Dagmawit did not elaborate on the similarities. The planes flight data has since been sent to France for investigation
