Ethiopia has the fastest growing tourism sector in the world after growing by 48.6 percent in 2018, according to the World Travel & Tourism Council’s (WTTC).
The WTTC announced the reports as part of its annual review of the impact and importance of tourism.
Ethiopia’s tourism sector made about 202 billion Birr ($7.4 billion) last year. In 2017, the country’s tourism sector made about 59 billion ($2.2 billion).
