It was reported on Sunday, March 10, 2019, that Ethiopian Airlines plane crashed en route to Kenya from Addis Ababa. Flight ET302 went down near Bishoftu town 6 minutes later after departure. The crash resulted in the death of all 149 passengers from 35 nationalities and 8 Ethiopian Airlines crew members. The world joined Ethiopians in mourning the accident. The Ethiopian government declared national mourning day on March 11, 2019. Ethiopians also offered their condolences to the families and relatives of the victims of the unfortunate accident.
