Court allows Ermias Amelga to conduct his business from prison

Police forces arrested Ermias Amelga in connection with an ongoing trial of Metals and Engineering Corporation (METEC) in January. The charges were related to the sale of Imperial Hotel to METEC. During the last court appearance, Ermias submitted a written list of requests for his detention, and today the court replied. The court allowed Ato Ermias to conduct his managerial duties that can’t be accomplished through representatives. The court also accepted his request for written media access and any task related to the book he is currently writing. The court announced to pass a ruling on March 5, 2019.
