About 3000 houses in the Oromia region of Ethiopia have been demolished as part of efforts to get rid of illegal buildings.
Up to 48 houses were demolished on Tuesday. In total, about 12,000 houses are reportedly marked for demolition in the Oromia Regional State Special Zone Surrounding Finfinne.
The demolition exercise was reportedly authorized by the Mayor of Oromia, Habiba Siraj.
