A 24-year-old man from Niger has been stuck in an Ethiopian airport for months. Eissa Muhamad was expelled from Israel and has been stranded at the Addis Ababa Bole International Airport since November 2018 after Niger refused to accept him back.
“I have been staying here at the airport under very bad conditions because there nothing, nothing at all,” Muhamad said.
He revealed that Israeli authorities arrested him in April last year for being in the country illegally. According to Muhamad, he had been living in Israel since 2011. He left Niger when he was 16-years-old.
