The daughter-in-law of Ethiopia’s last Emperor Haile Selassie has died. Princess Sara Gizaw, the Duchess of Harrar, reportedly died in Addis Ababa last week Friday. She was 90 years old.
Princess Sara Gizaw was the widow of Emperor Haile Selassie’s son Prince Makonnen, the Duke of Harrar, who died in a car accident in 1957.
Princess Sara Gizaw is survived by four children and many grandchildren. Her oldest son, Prince Paul Wossen Seged, is the current Duke of Harar.
