The National Planning Commission of Ethiopia has announced that it will be conducting a population census in April.
Dr. Fitsum Assefa, Commissioner of the National Planning Commission told reporters on Thursday that adequate preparations have been made to ensure that the census is a success.
“Preparations have been completed to carry out a transparent and credible census after two months, ” Dr. Fitsum said.
She added that the Global Positioning System (GPS) and other technology will be used in the census.
