The office of the Mayor of Addis Ababa has called on gas stations and petroleum companies to be serious about their work. The deputy mayor of Addis Ababa, Takele Uma, said gas stations and petrol companies need to carry out their work with diligence.
On Jan. 16, Takele said that some gas stations and petroleum companies have been hoarding fuel. He added that other illegal activities might be behind the recent fuel shortages. Officials in Addis Ababa warned that the government would take serious actions against illicit activities relating to fuel and gas.
