Protesters from the Afar region have blocked a highway connecting Ethiopia and Djibouti.
The protesters say the demonstration is in response to violence by armed groups, who are believed to belong to the Somali Isa clan.
The highway between Awash and Semera is reportedly the main route for export between both countries. A railway connecting Ethiopia and Djibouti was also been affected by the protests. […] CONTINUE READING
