OLF militia displaced Amhara residents in Illubabor

Jimma Illubabor is one of the zones in Oromia region known for coffee harvest. For years, coffee farmers have been harvesting and exporting coffee beans. Residents contacted Mereja TV yesterday to report a stressful situation that has been going on for two weeks. According to the residents, Amhara-born residents are persecuted in Gendi Wereda, Illubabor by Oromo Liberation Front (OLF) militia. The residents also reported that eleven people are dead and many people are injured. OLF has forced the Amhara-born out of their homes, and they are living in the woods until the situation is solved. The residents are calling for the government to take the proper action as soon as possible.
