Oromo National Congress (ONC) is a major competitive political party in Ethiopia founded April 1996 by Dr. Merera Gudina. The party held a press release today to address its stand on the current political situations in the country. ONC’s Chairman Tolossa Tesfaye spoke about the political atmosphere in Oromia. In the party’s opinion, Oromo Liberation Front (OLF) is a barrier to the incredible political reforms that came at the cost of Oromo Qeerroo’s lives for the last four years. OLF’s motive that is creating tensions and conflict in Western Oromia contradicts the promising changes and it is unacceptable. Ato Tolossa also pressed on the agreement between OLF and Oromo Democratic Party (ODP) to be honored.
