UK and Ethiopian experts have called for efforts to safeguard Ethiopia’s donkey population amid the growing demand for the skin of the animal in China.
The experts, who attended a meeting last month organized by the Ethiopian government and The Donkey Sanctuary charity, noted that the situation is akin to “a ticking time bomb.”
