Ethiopian Ministry of Revenues started the national income mobilization campaign today graced with Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed’s presence at the African Union Headquarters. The forum opened with the motto “I will carry out my duty; I will demand my right”. It was made public that Ethiopia only collected 176 billion Birr from the planned 260 billion Birr in the year 2017/2018. Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed said, “A person who cheats taxes shouldn’t be seen as smart, rather as a fool who hates his country and isn’t concerned about the future of his children”.
