The attempted coup d’etat in Amhara region on June 22, 2019, resulted in the deaths of many officials including the late president Dr. Ambachew Mekonnen. The region faced a security crisis following the coup. After the executive committee meeting, Amhara Democratic Party (ADP) has nominated and appointed Ato Temesgen Tiruneh. The region also appointed a new security head and new judges. In this regard, Agegnehu Teshager is appointed as the head of the region’s security; whereas 230 new judges were also appointed. The question remaining on most people’s mind is who is Ato Temesgen Tiruneh.
