On 19 June 2019 Flightglobal reported from Paris that Ethiopian Airlines would build third-party component maintenance capacity under an aftermarket support agreement with Collins Aerospace.
The deal gave the US aerospace supplier a firmer African maintenance, repair, and overhaul foothold while Ethiopian Airlines expanded component work beyond its own fleet.
