On 12 June 2019 Altus Strategies announced, via Junior Mining Network and Accesswire, that it had discovered the Wedi Keshi gold prospect at its wholly owned 412-square-kilometer Daro copper-gold-silver volcanogenic massive sulphide project in Tigray, northern Ethiopia.
Rock-chip samples included grades such as 14.1, 8.5, and 7.3 grams of gold per tonne from quartz veins and wall rock along a zone mapped for about two kilometers by up to 300 meters, and the company said a trial gravity survey at the Teklil prospect also supported VMS potential while work continued at the newly granted Zager licence.
Kept as mining archive, the Altus update dates a mid-2019 exploration milestone on the Daro ground in northern Ethiopia.
