On 11 June 2019 Borkena posted a video feature in which Ali Berke, described as a leading Ethiopian hero of the war against Somalia’s 1977 invasion around the Karamara front, recounted his wartime story and spoke about his love for Ethiopia.
The short Borkena note embedded an Andaafta Media interview and presented Berke’s testimony as living military history from the Ogaden War generation rather than as a full documentary transcript.
Kept as military history archive, the Borkena video post dates a public retelling of the Karamara campaign by one of its Ethiopian veterans in June 2019.
