On 11 June 2019 ReliefWeb carried an OCHA infographic snapshot, as of 31 May 2019, on internally displaced people returning after inter-communal conflict that began in Kamashi zone of Benishangul-Gumuz on 26 September 2018 and pushed many women and children across the Oromia border.
The snapshot said 89,265 IDPs had returned in East Wellega and 26,985 had returned to Yaso and Belo Jeganfoy in Kamashi, with about 80 percent of East Wellega IDPs back toward places of origin along the Oromia–Kamashi border and the rest still living with hosts or elsewhere.
Kept as humanitarian archive, the OCHA snapshot dates return numbers on the Wellega–Kamashi line at the end of May 2019.
