On 10 June 2019 The Jerusalem Post published Harold Goldmeier’s “Your Business” column on Ethiopia, Ethiopian Jews, and Israel, which opened from a travel scene guided by one of his Ethiopian Jewish former students who had returned to Ethiopia as an entrepreneur.
The column used business and diaspora travel to discuss ties between Israel and Ethiopian Jewish communities, including references to youth preparing a Seder in Gondar, and it framed those ties as part of everyday commercial and cultural contact rather than only as an immigration story.
