In June 2019 AllAfrica published “War Ravaged Home,” a report on communities whose houses and livelihoods had been destroyed by conflict and who were still struggling to return or rebuild.
Stories of burned homes, lost cattle, and fragile returns sat beside Ethiopia’s wider internal-displacement crisis, which made the feature useful as a human-scale archive of how war damage looked on the ground that year.
Kept as conflict and humanitarian archive, the AllAfrica report dates mid-2019 testimony from war-hit Ethiopian homes and returnees.
