In June 2019 Addis Standard reported that Ethiopia’s Ministry of Finance and the French Development Agency were set to sign loan and grant agreements totaling about 100 million euros to support economic reforms.
Finance Minister Ahmed Shide was expected at the ceremony, which placed French concessional finance beside the wider reform package Abiy Ahmed’s government was selling to European partners.
