In May 2019 Diálogo Américas reported that Brazilian Army Lieutenant Colonel Fábio Rodrigo de Assis joined a multinational team helping Ethiopia prepare service members and police for peacekeeping operations.
The cooperation sat inside a wider pattern of South–South military training, with Brazil sharing experience from United Nations missions while Ethiopia remained a major troop contributor.
Peacekeeping schools and curricula rarely make headlines, but they shape how Horn forces train for deployments abroad and for regional security roles.
Kept as diplomacy and security archive, the Brazil–Ethiopia training note dates one concrete military-education link from early 2019.
