Addis Ababa police released journalists Temesgen Desalegn and Misgan Zenabe without bail after arresting them yesterday afternoon on a charge of writing a false report against Addis Ababa Mayor Adanech Abebe.
The arrest of Temesgen and Misgan raised concerns that the Ethiopian government is going back to its old ways of suppressing press freedom and filling up its jails with prisoners of conscience.
