Former Prime Minister Tamrat Layne talks about the reform underway in Ethiopia

Ato Tamrat Layne is a former Ethiopian People’s Democratic Movement (the current Amhara Democratic Party) combatant and the first prime minister of Ethiopia in the transitional period after EPRDF controlled the country in 1991. On 16 March 2000, the Supreme court of Ethiopiasentenced Tamrat to 18 years in prison after being found guilty of corruption and embezzlement charges. He was freed on 19 December 2008 for good behavior.

Ato Tamrat was a guest on Nahoo TV and discussed different issues as asked by the journalist among them is the current change in government, constitution and so on. He was not seen on media since his release from prison and this one creates some controversies in its content.
