Ahadu Radio journalist Tamerat Abera went to Sendafa, a town and separate woreda located in the Oromia Special Zone Surrounding Addis Ababa, to report on a land inheritance debate. According to the protocol, he notified the administration about conducting his work which resulted in him being the focus of the wrong audience. Tamerat allegedly received threats from the woreda’s court president if he intends to release his report. He was arrested moments later since May 24, 2019.
