Seb Hidri is a civil society founded in Tigray and received official recognition in June 2018. The society was founded to resolve economic problems in the region by reducing accumulated debts. In order to do that, the society planned to assist building institutions necessary for good governance and ensuring genuine participation in a democracy. They have also planned to ensure effective participation, transparency, responsiveness, consensus orientation, equity, inclusiveness, and accountability in Tigray. When setting out to accomplish these goals, Seb Hidri expected resistance from some parties. However, things have escalated to dangerous levels.
