On May 20, 2019, Gambella and Oromia people kicked off a people-to-people form in Gambella. The form aims to promote fraternity and unity between the people of Oromia and Gambella and reinforce centuries-old peaceful coexistence. Senior officials from both regions attended the forum, and are looking forward to creating favorable conditions for the strengthening of the socio-economic integration between the two regions.
