Bedele, located in the Buno Bedelle Zone of the Oromia Region, is a town and separate woreda in Southwestern Ethiopia. The town is also called Buno Bedele, meaning coffee area. Bedele has gone through enormous changes throughout the years. Nowadays, most people associate the town’s name with the Bedele Brewery. The brewery, founded in 1993 by the government and recently acquired by Heineken in August 2011, produces approximately 75 million bottles both for domestic and export customers. The town with an average temperature of 23°C, has a relaxing atmosphere and a cool drive.
