Northern Shewa is one of the 10 zones in Amhara region which shares regional boundaries with Oromia regional state. The zone has been in turmoil for days, and armed groups are disrupting the peace in towns such as Majete and Karaqore. For a while, no one could identify the group, but it has been just confirmed that they are Oromo Liberation Front (OLF) group. According to reports from the towns, the group is armed with heavy arsenal and destroying and robbing properties including a church.
