Police arrest Yirgacheffe investor on his way to Gedeo zone

Abiyot Ageze is born and raised in Yirgacheffe, located in the Gedeo Zone of the Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples’ Region (SNNPR). Yirgacheffe is the home of the best organic coffee in the world and has many investors involved in the exporting business including Ato Abiyot. Following the call for aid to his hometown, Ato Abiyot was on his way to help the displaced civilians when authorities arrested him three days ago. Mereja TV contacted Yirgacheffe’s police commissioner Sergeant Danen for an official report on the reason for the arrest and the ongoing investigation.
