Israeli authorities are not happy with Ethiopia’s decision to give families of the victims of the Ethiopian Airlines crash sand to bury.
Ethiopian Airlines announced recently that DNA tests to identify the victims and gather their remains could take more than a year to be completed. The Airliner has offered families a kilogram of sand from the scene of the accident so they can organize funerals for their loved ones.
However, Israel has said it is not in support of the decision. Israeli volunteers are part of the team working at the crash site.
“We have never seen such behavior in 30 years of handling disasters in Israel and around the world,” ZAKA, the Israeli volunteer team in Ethiopia, said.
