Facebook is suing a company from Ukraine for stealing the data of its users through quizzes. This malicious scheme ran for years on the social media platform without being noticed.
The malicious quiz apps were used to steal the profile data of thousands of people on Facebook. Users were instructed to install browser extensions before they could access the quizzes. In turn, these extensions stole user data like names, profile pictures, and list of friends.
