Journalist and human rights activist Eskinder Nega called for a discussion about Addis Ababa on March 11, 2019. The meeting became a necessity after ownership claims rose that disregarded the residents. From radical activists publicly declaring threats to the acting mayor who never fails to disappoint, Addis Ababa is going through a challenging time. During the meeting, Eskinder and other panelists raised agendas concerning the future of Ethiopia capital. The meeting concluded peacefully, but situations took a turn for the worst. Police forces arrested youths who have attended the meeting. The arrest looked similar to the mass detention in September 2018. No official reason has been provided for the arrest, nor any governmental agency has taken responsibility. Sintayehu Chekol comments on the situation as follows.
