Libya has replaced Ethiopia as the growing economy on the African continent. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the African Development Bank (AfDB) made the announcement in a recent report.
Ethiopia was named the fastest growing economy in 2018, but things seem to have changed for the East African country in 2019.
The IMF and AfDB stated that Ethiopia is still the fastest growing economy in the East African region with an 8.5 percent growth projection. Rwanda came in second place with a 7.8 percent growth projection. However, Libya has a growth projection of 10.8 percent. [….] CONTINUE READING
