For many years, the sports community has been watering down exploitation allegations. The allegations by many athletes can be easily interpreted as modern day slavery. Sexual harassment claims are a recent and highly emphasized phenomenon in sports. Sexual harassment in sport has new and different dimensions because of the power relationships established with coaches and because of the necessary focus on athletes’ bodies.
